Week 14 Trains

The January derail of a CSX train to the mine in Aurora led to the discovery of a number of defects along the line and reduction of speeds on the line to 10 mph. That means it’s repair time. The first six miles of track arrived on this train at the end of March, and maintenance-of-way equipment was right behind it. While traffic may be somewhat impeded, the flow continues through Chocowinity. Several of those Norfolk Southern freights are to be seen in this gallery. Week 14 was March 31-April 6.
