Pictures-A-Week 10

My favorite tree sits in a cow pasture outside Smithfield in Johnston County. I go by a couple of times each year to check on it, always fearful that it will have finally given up its gnarly passion or have been swept aside by one of the innumerable malignant sub-divisions which infest the region’s farmland. But, during the first week March, still it stood. I was also able to get a better angle of view of the tree as the cattle were grazing the other side of the road. Kitty and I also got to see out last Hurricanes game while Beth still worked for them. It was one of their worst losses EVER. Week 10 was March 3-9.
