MV-22B Osprey

The Marine Corps regularly trains their Osprey crews at the airfield in Washington NC. The aircraft takes off vertically, as would a helicopter. As it gains altitude, the wings rotate forward putting the rotors into the a more standard propeller position. The  Osprey is used as an assault transport for troops and equipment, operating from land or ships at sea. The VMMT-204 is a USMC flight training squadron based at Little River Air Station in Jacksonville NC.
