Norfolk Southern Heritage Unit - Norfolk & Western

Norfolk Southern did a salute some years ago to all the railroads which were absorbed into Norfolk Southern over the years. They painted a locomotive in the colors of the old railway. The Norfolk & Western commemorative visited Chocowinity June 23. Norfolk and Western was the result of more than 200 railroad mergers between 1838 and 1982 when it became part of Norfolk Southern Railway. 8103 is a 2012 GE ES44AC.
