Norfolk Southern Heritage Unit - Reading Lines

Norfolk Southern’s black and white “color” scheme can get pretty samey. But, they occasionally roll big and splurge for special paint jobs. One of those occasions is the salute they did some years ago for all the railroads which were absorbed into Norfolk Southern over the years. The Reading Lines commemorative visited Chocowinity in April. Reading became part of Norfolk Southern when they split the assets of Conrail with CSX in the 1990s. The 2012 SD70ACe carries the green and gold of Reading plus the wonderful Bee Line Service motto complete with Reading diamond bees.
